Progress Continues at the Harry T. Clark Community Park

Significant progress continues at the Harry T. Clark Community Park as work moves steadily toward the completion of the next phase of development. The Rowan County Fiscal Court has voted to fund the remaining cost of the new playground equipment, committing $134,593 to ensure the installation can move forward without delay and that the community’s children will soon have access to a modern and inclusive play space.
In addition to the County’s contribution, the Janie Holbrook Memorial Fund, in partnership with the Bluegrass Community Fund, has successfully raised nearly $60,000 in support of the project. Their dedication and continued advocacy have played a vital role in bringing this next phase within reach, demonstrating once again how public and private partnerships can work together to enrich the community.
Although the Fiscal Court has agreed to cover the remaining balance, donations are still being accepted, and all contributions—large or small—help support future amenities and enhancements planned for the park.
As development progresses, Harry T. Clark Community Park continues to grow into a central gathering place for Rowan County residents, offering safe, accessible spaces to gather, play, and enjoy the outdoors.
Friendly reminder: The park is open to the public daily from sunrise to sunset.
