What's New in Rowan County: Services, Facilities, and Funding Updates

Senior Center Progress

The new Rowan County Senior Center is nearing completion, with a firm opening date expected to be announced next month. The facility will offer expanded programs, activities, and resources for seniors, providing a central hub for social engagement, wellness initiatives, and community services. Sherriff’s Office Taser Grant

Rumpke Trash Service Transition

Rumpke is now the county’s official trash collection provider, replacing Waste Management. All existing payments to Waste Management have been transferred to the new system to ensure continuity for residents.
