Progress Continues on Rowan County Senior Center

Construction continues to move steadily forward on the new Rowan County Senior Center, with several major interior milestones recently completed.

Interior painting has been finished throughout the building, giving the space its final color and allowing crews to transition into the remaining installation phases. Cabinet installation is now complete, and trim materials have been delivered to the site in preparation for the next stage of finish work. Completion is 90% finished on the siding and casework.

Upcoming work includes installation of the drop ceiling and placement of the facility’s freezer, both of which are necessary steps before final inspections and equipment setup can begin. With these remaining items underway, the project remains on track.

At this time, the Senior Center is projected to open in March 2026. Once complete, the new facility will provide a modern, dedicated space designed to better serve Rowan County’s senior population through programs, meals, and community activities.
