Get ready for the Rowan County Christmas Decorating Contest!

Our Halloween Contest went so well that we decided we’d like to do it again for Christmas. All the people of Rowan County are invited to participate in this fun event, made possible by the generous contribution of Morehead Wood Products – your hometown stave mill on Route 377.

When we told them that we wanted to do this for the people of Rowan County, their first question was “How can we help?” We are truly lucky to have a community partner such as Morehead Wood Products here in Rowan County, so be sure to tell them thank you next time you see them!

Any resident or business is welcome to join in on the fun. This time we’ve raised the stakes – and the prizes – with $1,500 in Visa Gift Cards for you to win in separate resident and business categories.

You can submit a picture of your tree, your outside or inside decorations, whatever you like. Just like last time, it will be people’s choice deciding the winners and we will vote the week of Christmas. Visit www.rcky.us/christmas to enter the contest and view the rules.
