Annual City-County Christmas Dinner

The City-County Annual Christmas Dinner is returning for its 35th year, inviting the entire community to come together and celebrate the holiday season. This festive event will be held on Thursday, December 4th, from 4–7 p.m. at the Carl Perkins Center in Morehead, offering guests the chance to explore the newly updated facility while enjoying a warm, welcoming holiday gathering.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand to greet attendees and distribute treat bags to children, creating a special experience for families. Elected officials will serve a delicious holiday meal, thoughtfully prepared by the Rowan County Detention Center. The menu features turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, dressing, green beans, cranberry sauce, and rolls, generously provided by LifeCare Center of Morehead, along with cakes and desserts lovingly prepared by local churches and the Rowan County Senior Center. A festive soundtrack of Christmas music will enhance the holiday spirit throughout the evening.

Sponsored jointly by the City of Morehead and the Rowan County Fiscal Court, the dinner offers more than just a meal—it is a joyful opportunity for residents of all ages to come together, celebrate, and connect with friends, neighbors, and local leaders.
