Rowan County Health Department

The Rowan County Health Center is dedicated to providing exceptional care to the citizens of Rowan County. Often the health department may serve those individuals who may not otherwise have access to medical care. It is their dedicated mission to improve the health and safety of our citizens through prevention, promotion, and protection. In doing so the Rowan County Health Center remains focused on core functions such as supplemental nutrition programs for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), immunizations, Family Planning, and Cancer Screening programs. Through their programs and services, they aim to prevent injury and illness with Community Health outreach programs, promote good health via HANDS and First Steps and keeping the environment safe with food safety. In addition to our core functions the health department has been leading the efforts to protect our community in COVID response efforts. The health department thrives to provide exceptional care to all they serve.
